Tuesday begins in the morning in Ettlingen, where the chess group Die Denker meets at ten in the Begegnungszentrum am Klösterle, part of the town’s programme for older people. In the afternoon the children play: the Karlsruher Schachfreunde 1853 train their youth at the Anne-Frank-Haus from four, and the Schachfreunde Bad Herrenalb teach youth chess for six- to sixteen-year-olds at the Falkensteinschule.

The evening belongs to the clubs. The Schachfreunde Neureut 1953 start at seven, the SSV Bruchsal plays at the Haus der Begegnung with the children from five and the adults from seven, and the Schachclub Rheinstetten 1947 in Mörsch trains its youth from seven and lets the adults play from eight, with guests welcome. The Schachclub uBu opens its evening at the Old Chapel Pub in Karlsruhe at eight and plays until one in the morning.
