Where beginners are welcome 16

Each entry here states that newcomers are welcome, from children who have just learned the moves to adults coming back to the game. The Karlsruher Schachfreunde 1853 hold a training evening for adult beginners on the first Thursday of the month in the parish hall of St. Cyriakus, the Schachschule Karlsruhe teaches a beginners’ course for school children on Mondays and an adult course on Thursday evenings, and the TSV Bulach keeps a Thursday chess evening for children and young people.

Outside the city the Schachfreunde 1954 Conweiler ask for no previous knowledge at their Friday youth evening, and the SV Vimbuch teaches chess beginners from the age of five before its Friday club evening. Further clubs that say so are in Sulzfeld, Blankenloch, Forst, Rheinstetten, Leopoldshafen, Bruchsal, Neuhausen, Oberkollbach and Illingen, along with the Schachklub Durlach and the Schachclub uBu in Karlsruhe.
